THERAPY FOR TRAUMA IN CALIFORNIA
YOU DON’T HAVE TO GO THROUGH IT ALONE.
You have been carrying the weight alone for a long time.
You feel like you're downplaying your own experiences by comparing them to others'. You believe that you're being overly dramatic. It seems pointless to share your feelings with others, and even your closest family doesn't know about your painful past because you want to protect them.
Nobody can fully understand the heavy weight of your personal experiences. The idea of sharing them with someone else and only getting sympathy in return worsens your feelings of despair. To make it even worse, being vulnerable feels like a source of shame and guilt. So, you find comfort in keeping it all to yourself. But now, this burden has become too much to bear. It's not just affecting you, but also the people you care about the most.
Your main goal is to protect them from the negative impact of your troubling past. Maybe you see your ongoing struggle with these memories as a personal flaw or proof of your own weaknesses.
YOU NO LONGER HAVE TO CARRY THE WEIGHT ALONE.
I want to let you know that trauma doesn't have to be a situation that threatens your life in order for it to have a lasting and distressing impact on your mind and body.
how i can help
Our work together will be tailored to you. We'll start based on your comfort level and therapy goals.
First and foremost, our sessions will be a safe and confidential space for you to express your thoughts and feelings. I'll be here to listen to you without judgment. It's important that you feel comfortable sharing your experiences at your own pace, and I'll follow your lead in terms of what you're ready to discuss.
We'll begin by building trust and establishing a therapeutic alliance.
One of the ways we can start is by exploring your trauma and its effects on your life. You can share as much or as little as you're comfortable with.
We'll work on coping strategies to manage the distressing emotions and symptoms you may be experiencing. This could involve techniques like relaxation exercises, mindfulness, and developing emotional regulation skills. We'll identify what works best for you and incorporate these tools into your daily life.
We'll also examine any negative thought patterns or beliefs that may have developed as a result of your trauma. Cognitive restructuring can help you shift these unhelpful perspectives and develop a more positive and adaptive mindset.
We'll work together to set healthy boundaries and establish a sense of safety in your daily life.
I want to emphasize that your well-being is my priority. Your resilience and inner strength are valuable assets, and I'll help you tap into those resources. We're here to work as a team, and I'll be with you every step of the way on your journey toward healing and recovery.
I want you to know:
You don’t have to navigate this alone.
Let’s work together.

Ideally, I would recommend meeting weekly as you develop and gain the tools needed to manage your symptoms. Meeting weekly will also help us build rapport which can help if you struggle with vulnerability. My goal to get you where you want to be as quickly and safely as clinically possible. I do not recommend meeting any less than every other week.
